Upon arrival at the outdoor activity centre, you will be welcomed by your expert guide and kitted out with all of the necessary safety gear. Helmets, wetsuits and buoyancy aids on, you'll be ready to select your paddles and head out on to the water. Based in such a prime location, you'll have your pick of paddling spots to choose from! Whether you are trying the age-old sport of kayaking for the first time and are looking to start off with a some family fun on the beautiful Pontsticill reservoir, or want to really push yourself with a white water session on the fast-flowing River Usk, you are sure to have the very best time. The centre's range of modern kayaks means that you'll succeed, no matter your level of experience...even those who are unable to swim can master the art of kayaking with the aid of their friendly instructors. This exciting 3 hour shared kayaking experience in the Brecon Beacons is available throughout the year on both weekdays and weekends.
Please note that bookings in May, June and July can be tricky due to higher numbers of large group bookings, so please give plenty of notice.
Minimum Age: 8 years
Participants who are not able to swim can still take part - so long as you are comfortable around water, you'll simply need to inform your instructor upon arrival and they will be able to give additional capsizing advice and instruction.
All instructors are highly qualified and can cater for beginners and advanced paddlers alike.

This is a 3 hour session, starting at either 9:15am or 13:15pm.
You'll need to arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to the start time to get yourself checked in.
Participants: The Half Day Kayaking Experience for 2 - South Glamorgan is for 2 participants.
Max Group Size: +10
Spectators Allowed on Site: No
This is a shared group experience which requires a minimum of 4 participants in order to go ahead.
If you are a group of 3 or less, you will simply be added to another small group.
There is no maximum group size as such.
The ratio of participants to instructors is 12:1, so groups larger than this will need to give plenty of notice.
The kayaking experience is not suitable for spectators.
Please ensure you are wearing shoes that you do not mind getting wet. You're advised to bring a change of clothes and a towel with you...just in case!
Upon arrival, you'll be kitted out with paddles, helmets, buoyancy aids, and wetsuits. Please note, you'll need to wear a swim suit/trunks under your wetsuit.
Please also bring a packed lunch and a drink with you, as you'll need refreshments after your activity - these are not provided by the centre.
The kayaking experience will go ahead in most weather conditions.
However, if the experience is cancelled due to extreme or adverse conditions, you will simply be re-scheduled for an alternative date.
