Paddleboard Experience Days: Fancy giving standup paddleboarding a try? This full day course on the River Leam, Warwickshire, will provide the perfect introduction. Don your wetsuit and take to the water with qualified paddleboard instructors in tow!
Lessons are held on the River Leam, near Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. The British Canoeing-approved boating centre is the perfect place to try standup paddleboarding for the first time, and you’ll be in safe hands with their highly qualified, friendly instructors. During the five-hour session, you’ll learn all about essential SUP equipment and safety, before pulling on your wetsuit and heading out on to the water. Here, you’ll practice basic board control and paddling skills while making your way upriver towards the Newbold Comyn Nature Reserve. After a packed lunch on the riverbank, you’ll have a chance to achieve the British Canoeing Paddle Discover award—the perfect springboard if you want to continue paddleboarding independently!

Requirements
Minimum Age: 14
Participants should be reasonably fit, however being a good swimmer
is not necessary as buoyancy aids are worn at all times.

Experience Duration: 5:00
Time Spent at Venue: 5:15
This full day session lasts for approximately 5hours. Please expect to be at the centre forlonger.
You will need to arrive early in order to get changed/kittedout.
Sessions start at 11:00 am.

Participants: The Full Day Paddleboarding Experience in Warwickshire is for 1 participant.
Max Group Size: 8
Spectators Allowed on Site: Yes
This is a group session and can be shared with up to 7 otherparticipants per 1 instructor.
You can schedule a date if you have a group size of 4 or more.
Spectators are welcome to come along and watch you leave fromthe riverside.
Where is it Located
What to Wear
You are advised to wear basic sports clothes suitable for the weather, and that you don’t mind getting wet. Sunscreen and hats are recommended for the summer months, and an extra fleece/jumper for the winter.
Shoes must be worn at all times.
Please also bring a towel and full change of clothes for afterwards.
You'll be provided with buoyancy aids upon arrival.
Weather
The SUP session will go ahead in most conditions. For your own safety, very rarely flood conditions may lead to postponement - the venue will contact you if ever a session is postponed.
