ALL ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

Tandem Skydive Devon

Tandem Skydiving at Dunkeswell Airfield in Devon's picturesque Honiton area. The UK's prettiest tandem skydive, at 10,000ft and providing 30 seconds of free fall over the glorious South West coast.

Devon skydiving is not only wonderfully picturesque experience for the landscape-appreciating thrill seekers out there, but is also a great hit with those in search of the ultimate rush; as this jump takes place from an incredible 10,000ft in the air.. The feeling of freedom as the hatch opens and all you can see is the patchwork countryside smothered in a carpet of cloud is a surreal experience that can quite literally be matched by no other. With 30 seconds of free fall before the parachute is deployed, you'll have plenty of time to appreciate the bravado brilliance of what is actually happening as you hurtle to the ground at 120mph on the most extreme passenger ride available anywhere on this planet...or off it.Your tandem skydive experience in Devon will begin with a few registration documents at Dunkeswell Airfield, before moving to the classroom for a video in the safety procedures and skydiving techniques. Once you have watched that, you will move to the practice mats for a session in where to tuck your head and limbs throughout the dive - before donning the safety gear and making your way to the 'Black Beech 99' - the country's fastest jump plane, where you'll be strapped to the instructor's chest ready to take a seat in the plane! The plane will take off and get you to a height of around 10,000ft before an instructor will open the hatch and begin the tandem skydives! One by one you'll shuffle up to the hatch, dangle your legs over the edge and roll forward on the instructor's command. With nothing but a distorted view of the ground, a carpet of clouds and a surreal feeling of freedom; you'll roll out of the plane and experience 30 seconds of free fall - before the instructor deploys the parachute at 5,000ft and begins the gentle 4-5 minutes of parachuting back to the ground. Once landed, you can collect your certificate and cross off the most extreme experience from your bucket list.

You can have your tandem skydive filmed by a professional skydiver - capturing every moment from the jump through free fall; and the landing. This can be arranged during the booking and will cost around £140 - which will include a fully edited DVD of your jump.
