ALL ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

RAPS Static Line Parachute Jump in Shropshire

Skydive in Shropshire! Learn the parachute skills you need to get back to earth, then get up there and jump! This course can also count towards getting your Skydiving licence!

A Static Line Parachute Jump is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of, well, jumping out of planes. The best thing about Static Line Parachuting is that you get stuck right into parachuting independently, and can jump from a plane after 1 day of training, without being strapped on to an instructor. After an intensive 6 hours of training, you should be feeling confident, and ready to get up there in the aircraft and make your first ever jump. Your rig will be set up so that it automatically releases just after you jump from the plane, leaving you free to focus on gently guiding your chute, and yourself, back to earth.

This experience is amazing as a solo jump, and invaluable as a first step towards becoming a skydiver.

On the day of your RAPS First Jump course, you will arrive at the centre for registration at 8am. Once registered, you will hit the classroom for approximately 6 hours of canopy training, until you have learned and practised the basics of controlling your chute. After your day of training, and once you have demonstrated a full understanding of the skills you need and are feeling fully confident and comfortable, you'll take to the skies and jump from a plane, to put all your new skills into practice at 3,200ft!

Once you leave the aircraft, your 'Ram-Air Canopy' will activate automatically, so that straight away you are floating, and all you have to do is guide your parachute to the landing area opposite the club house.
