Outdoor Experience Days: Enjoy a day of adventure during this Packhorse Picnic in the Lake District. The day begins with an introduction to the beautiful horses that will be carrying the day's picnic for your group. You will follow along part of an ancient pack horse route with stunning views of Rydal Water.
Starting at the foot of Lourghrigg, your picnic adventure will walk you along an ancient packhorse route where you will create connections with horses that will teach you to recognise and regulate your emotions. Your full day adventure will also introduce you to bush-craft skills where you will learn to thrive and survive in the natural environment of the Lake District. You will then enjoy your picnic which will be cooked on an open-fire, before an invigorating wild swimming session and the final walk back to base.
This is the perfect experience to enjoy with family or friends who love the great outdoors, and makes a fun addition to your next Lake District day out! Perfect for special occasions, or if you just feel like you need a little getaway.
Availability
The Packhorse Picnic Wellness Days run up to 3 days a week, throughout the year on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays. Dates are subject to availability at the time of booking.
