Experience Days Tours: Immerse yourself in history and spend the day learning about the ancient era of the Romans. Take a tailored tour across the iconic landmarks of Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site and walk in the footsteps of the Romans who lived there from around AD80.
The tour will begin with the introduction of your guide, Venutius, chief of the Brigante Tribe. He lived through the horror of the Roman invasion and fought for his land, surviving to tell the tale. Venutitus will tell you the fascinating stories of the invasion from the Celtic perspective whilst you trek across the Northumberland National Park and along Hadrian's Wall, hearing tales of battles, conquerors, and the quality of life at the time. The full day tour will last for approximately 7 hours as you trek across the moorland - so make sure you bring sturdy shoes! Alternatively, you can spend the morning hiking the hills, then visiting two of the surrounding museums and archaeological sites. Pick whatever you fancy!
