Kitesurfing Experience Days: This two-day course in Poole is the perfect experience to learn all the skills you need to pick up kitesurfing, with guidance from expert instructors!
The first day of your kitesurfing experience will begin on land, with some simple trainer kite flying and theory as to how to generate power and harness the wind comfortably. Next, you’ll take a lunch break and re-fuel before donning your wetsuit. You’ll then take to the water for some one-to-one or small group coaching in the designated kite sport zone of Poole Harbour. This is the perfect environment to learn kitesurfing in, as it never gets too deep. You can stand up to put the skills you learned on land to use, move around the water, and practice the art of ‘body dragging’. On the second day of your course, you’ll jump straight out onto the water and get going on your board! Your instructor will refresh you on the skills learned during day one, but the main focus is getting up and riding as soon as possible. Your instructors will be by your side at all times, so you can really begin to build your confidence on the water. After a break for lunch, you’ll head back out onto the water to continue building your skills!

Requirements
The minimum age is 16 years.
You must be comfortable in the water.
There is no specific requirements regarding maximum size but you
will need to fit into a harness, please check with the centre when
booking if you have concerns regarding this.
If you have a particular medical condition that you think may
affect your ability to do the course, please check with the centre
when booking.

Time Spent at Venue: 23:00
The course will last five to six hours per day over two days.The start times may vary due to tide times.

Spectators Allowed on Site: Yes
Group sizes vary but will usually be 2 - 4 students perinstructor. Spectators are welcome but please listen to theinstructors as to where the safest place to stand and watch is.
Where is it Located
What to Wear
All equipment will be supplied - this includes kite, board, wetsuit, harness and helmet. You just need to take a change of dry clothes, a swimming costume and a towel. If you have your own kit and want to use it for the lessons please check with the centre first.
Weather
Kitesurfing is a weather dependent sport. Basically you need wind! Depending on the location you may also need wind in a particular direction. The tides also play a part with many locations not being able to teach at high tides. Please make sure you call the centre either the day before or on the actual day of your course to check that your lesson is going ahead.
