Horse Riding in Hampshire - Beginner Lesson

Get in the saddle with a wonderful beginner's horse riding lesson in Southampton, Hampshire. Learn to walk, trot and canter in one fun lesson, and get to grips with grooming while you're at it!

Saddle up! This horse riding lesson in Southampton will teach you the basics of not only horse riding, but also of grooming and tacking, or getting the horse ready to ride. This is a superb beginner's horse riding introduction, lasting for an hour and a half, during which time participants will learn to walk, trot and possibly even canter.

Even the more nervous newbies can relax, as the initial part of the riding lesson is spent on a mechanical horse! The mechanical horse will simulate the movement of a real live filly, meaning you can learn how to ride and gain confidence while in a completely controlled environment. You will also learn about grooming a horse and preparing a horse with tack, meaning this is an all-round hands-on experience.

You will begin by experiencing the motion of horse riding - walking, trotting and cantering - on the cutting-edge mechanical horse at the stables. After this you will move on to a real horse, to practice what you have already learned.

You will get to experience grooming and tacking the horse, giving you a great all-round horsey experience!
