Half term kidsIt’s that time again…half-term is upon us. The kids may love it, but keeping them entertained isn’t always an easy task! We’ve put together an experience guide, full of last minute ideas, for some exciting days out.

tree topbeamishWhy not give your ‘little monkeys’ the chance to show you what they’re really made of, with the Kids Tree Top Adventure Course, in Snowdonia? Under expert supervision, they will get the chance to tackle the high ropes, Flying Fox Zip Line, and even the Grizzly Bear Crossing. This is a fantastic offer, and entitles not only your child, but also yourself (if you think you can handle it!) to freely explore the course at your own pace. If your monkeys are no longer quite so little, but still love a bit of adventure, then this Beamish High Ropes Experience might be right up their tree. With a minimum age of 10, this experience allows them to get back to nature, and climb high into the tree tops, before climaxing with an adrenaline-fuelled free-fall, over a huge power fan!

whipsnade2If it’s wildlife that the kids are into, then a trip to the Zoo is always a hit! With fast track entry to both ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoo, you’ll be able to avoid those horrible half-term queues, and skip straight to the fun! As well as seeing a wide variety of exotic and native animals in a recreation of their natural habitats, there are plenty of activities for the whole family – not to mention some extra-special half-term events!

This is the perfect opportunity for the children to get up close and personal with their favourite animals.

Arsenal emiratesIf your children are football mad, then this Arsenal FC, Emirates Family Tour is bound to be a crowd-pleaser! Go behind the scenes, and follow in the footsteps of some of their (and probably your) sporting heroes.  With its state-of-the-art facilities, the Emirates Stadium has established itself as one of the most stunning sports arenas, and you have the chance to explore what goes on, backstage. Take a seat in first team dressing room, or walk down the player’s tunnel – there is bound to be a special moment for everyone…and with this family ticket, you can all enjoy the day out, for just £44.00. All tours also include a trip to the interactive museum.

For something a little more unusual, why not try sight-seeing, with a twist? The Magnificent Sightseeing Time Tour Bus provides an alternative and quirky view of London. Travel through time, with Professor Quantum and take a look at London’s rich history, in a purpose-built time-machine. Fully equipped with video cameras and plasma screens, you will visit many of London’s top landmarks, including Buckingham Palace and Westminster, and hear tales of Kings and Queens, as well as the Great fire of London.

With all of these experience days offering plenty of availability throughout the school holidays, there is sure to be something to suit families with children of all ages – so take advantage of these great days out, and spend some quality time together.
