This Beamish high ropes course is a just a few miles from both
Newcastle city and Durham city, and it allows you to really get
back to nature and enjoy the great outdoors as you climb high into
the treetops for this ropes adventure.
During your 2 hours in the treetops you will be harnessed in safety gear, and will make your way through this sky-high obstacle course that includes ‘Burma Bridge’, four different zip wires, and an incredible freefall over a power fan! There are over 25 separate obstacles and features throughout the ropes course, after which you can reward yourself with a drink and some well-deserved grub in the pub next door!Once you have arrived and been briefed, you will get kitted out with your helmet and safety harness and head for the trees! Safely strapped and harnessed, you will make your way around the course, tackling over 25 different elements throughout the course. This includes the 'Burma Bridge', four different zip wires, and the incredible power fan jump! The course should take about 2 hours to complete, after which there is a pub on-site where you can treat yourself to a well-earned drink!
The Beamish high ropes course can be booked on weekends, school holidays and bank holidays throughout the yea, subject to availability.
Minimum Age: 10 years old. Participants aged
between 10 and 16 must be supervised by an adult (this can be done
from the ground, the adult does not need to participate).
Minimum Height: 4'5"
Maximum Weight: 18 Stones
The course is accessible to people with disabilities, however please contact the centre before booking to discuss further.

You will have a safety briefing of about 15 minutes, and then you should allow up to 2 hours to finish the course.

Spectators are welcome, free of charge (although they will have far more fun if they participate too!). There is a pub on-site where spectators can find some refreshments!
Wear comfortable, outdoor clothing that is warm enough for the
weather on the day of your high ropes course. Please do not wear
high heels, skirts (for obvious reasons!), jewellery, or
flip-flops/open toe shoes.
Your helmet and safety harness will be provided at the centre.
The treetop High Ropes course in Beamish may be cancelled in severe weather conditions such as high winds, thunderstorms, snow & ice. In this event, you will be able to reschedule for a later date.
The minimum age for the Beamish High Ropes Experience is 10 years, but any one below the age of 16 would need to be accompanied by an adult.
