Arts and Crafts Experience Days: Get involved in this astonishing one-day mallet making class in Cheshire, where you will learn how to create a functioning wooden mallet using reclaimed materials.
After a warm welcome from the host, you will be given safety precautions and shown how to make professional use of all the tools. It will then be time to start crafting! Start by selecting and preparing the wood, before marking, measuring and cutting the wood to make it the right shape for a mallet head. The experience will get quite hands-on, as you use a range of tools including handsaws, planes and chisels. If you need any help or guidance during your mallet making process, the friendly team will be happy to assist you. After a long day's work, your very own mallet should be finished! Upon course completion, you can take comfort in the fact you skilfully fashioned a personal wooden mallet, learning lots of new techniques along the way!
This makes a perfect gift for anybody interested in exploring the world of woodworking. It will fill their day with thrills, fun, and friends!

Requirements
The minimum age is 18.
If you have a disability that you feel may affect your ability, please let us know. The instructor can accommodate those in wheelchairs and those who are hearing impaired, however, there may be some limitations.

Where is it Located
What to Wear
Participants should wear non baggy clothing, no loose jewellery, appropriate footwear, safety boots if you have them. Please make sure that long hair is tied back. All safety equipment will be supplied on the day.
