Cooking Experience Days: Join 2022s best Self-employed Business in Yorkshire and Humberside Sharmini, who has been teaching Indian Cuisine for over 20 years, for an immersive introduction to Indian food during this full day course in York, learning the techniques used to make traditional dishes that are packed with flavour.
On arrival at the kitchen in New Earswick, "The Queen of Curry", Sharmini will kick things off with an introduction to Indian cuisine and a demonstration of what you'll be making throughout the day. With a variety of dishes on the menu, you'll be guided step-by-step through the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of each element until the kitchen is full of wonderful aromas. Using professional equipment and fresh ingredients, you'll learn the art of spice mixing to make recipes that have been adapted and perfected over hundreds of years - a takeaway from your local curry house will never be the same again! By the end of the course you'll have a renewed appreciation for the blend of subtle and intense flavours involved in authentic Indian cooking, and a whole host of tips to practise back at home - plus a load of food to take with you!

The minimum age is 16, however anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Time Spent at Venue: 6:30
The full day experience lasts for 6 hours but you might be at the venue for 6.5hrs.

The minimum group size for the class to run is 6. The class can run with up to 12 to 14 people.
Unfortunately it isn't suitable for non paying guests.

What to Wear
You can bring your own apron, purchase one on the day for £25 each, or hire one for £5.
All cookery equipment and ingredients are provided, but you're welcome to bring a knife if you wish.
Please bring tupperware to carry your food home.
