This week we’ve been interviewing the wonderful Garry from Corporate Buzz, an international bespoke adventure company. With fantastic experience in some of the most desirable and dangerous destinations on Earth, these guys sure know what they’re talking about, and are bound to give you the experience of a life-time.

    1) Please explain your journey as ‘Corporate Buzz’ so far.

Having travelled to some of the worlds most remote places, I thought it would be great if other people could experience these places, but in more comfort and safety, so under the safety umbrella of our very experienced team, I launched Corporate Buzz. We’ve had many awesome trips in the last 3 years, from a 32 degrees North type adventures in the Arctic, to living with the Eban tribe in Borneo. I then launched our UK based adventures, which has proved fantastic, with people from the corporate world and many individuals looking for that ‘something different’. Regarding the Hunger Games training camp; my children wanted me to stay in the UK more, and because of my skills, they suggested I set up a training camp based around the blockbuster film, “The Hunger Games”. So I found an amazing 750 acre forest and began constructing the training camp. We launched the training camp about 9 months ago. We’ve had both adults and children come along, and I have to say, it’s been an outstanding  success, with every single person enjoying their day. After a few training camp days, clients were asking for a bolt on archery day to complement the archery training given during the Hunger Games training day. I agreed, and construction of the very unique archery course was completed about 3 months ago. We offer a selection of traditional archery, field archery with life like targets and the all new practical archery with pop up targets, moving 3d targets, swinging targets and much more. Next in the construction process was the addition of a beautiful rustic shooting range offering a huge range of air guns and rifles, from the .177 junior rifle to James Bond Walther PPK’s, Heckler & Koch MP5’s and fully automatic G36 machine guns. It’s great fun with loads of different targets to shoot at. Adjoining and overlooking the range is a lovely picnic area where visitors can come along, enjoy food and refreshments whilst watching the shooting. Having alway enjoyed the outdoors and done many adventurous things in my time, the best part of my job is being as much involved on a day to day basis as possible. I’m so lucky to be doing something I love and hopefully this comes across when clients come for their experience.

    2) What has been the biggest or most memorable event you’ve provided?

I’ve done loads of press interviews and photo shoots, our team has looked after numerous TV personalities during their adventure program filming, and I’ve been asked to do a movie about my life and exploits!! My most memorable trip would have to be in Borneo, dining in the middle of the Jungle with a group of clients; we flew in by helicopter, set up camp, then had full waitress service dinner, with champagne, 5* gourmet meal cooked by a famous Thai chef, ice cream! and 2 days later we vacated the Jungle by gun boat up river and spent the next 2 days having jet ski races and deep sea fishing!! you can’t get better than that!! great fun!!

    3) Is there any inside information you can give us?

My best advice to get the most out of your experience with us, is to come with a “have a go” attitude. You never know what you’ll enjoy till you try something, and sometimes it’s the least thing you expect that gives you that amazing time. If I had the choice, I would probably choose the ‘Hunger Games training camp’ experience; it’s a full on day with loads packed in. You’ll go home totally exhausted but still buzzing about the day.

    4) Do you have any exciting plans for the future that you’d like to tell us about?

The future for us is very bright….we are now in the planning stage for potentially the longest zip wire in Europe and the Northern hemisphere; 80mph and over 1.6km!!, an amazing mountain bike park with jumps, twists and turns, an exciting aerial tree park with canopy walks and giant swing, a state of the art all weather climbing wall, cafe, wild life attraction with meet and greet the animals, a falconry and a one and half acre lake containing our very own ‘blob jump’ (not sure what it is?, check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8BX6v9k9CU), so the plans are for an awesome adventure park, hoping to open for the summer of 2014. Watch this space!!
