Skydiving Experience Days: A tandem skydive in Cornwall offers more than just the considerable thrill of jumping from a plane... When you choose a skydiving in Cornwall, you choose to freefall over some of England's most beautiful scenery - the stunning Cornish coastline. In fact, the airfield and Perranporth is located right on a cliff-top, overlooking one of the top UK surfing beaches. You really could not ask for anything more while hurtling towards the ground at 120mph!

The beauty of a tandem skydive is that you have all the thrills and enjoy the full fear-factor of freefall, while secure in the knowledge that a seasoned skydiver is in full control, leaving you free to simply enjoy the ride!Your Tandem Skydive at Perranporth Airfield in Cornwall will begin with a registration signing session before sitting through a safety and technique brief with the instructor talking through a few points. Then, once briefed and ready - you'll move to the practice mats to begin the technique practical demonstration of tucking your legs and head when and where the instructor says! Then, once fully briefed - you'll don the safety gear and take to Newquay's only drop zone runway ready to take off! Sat between the legs of your instructor and in one of two skydiver rows, you'll reach the height of 10,000ft - where an instructor will open the hatch ready to begin the descents! When it's your turn, you and your instructor will shuffle to the open door where you will dangle your legs over the edge - ready to begin your unforgettable tandem skydive back to ground level. After 30-40 seconds of free fall, your instructor will open the parachute and you'll spend around 6-7 minutes floating back to earth with nothing but glorious Cornwall coastal views around you.

Tandem Skydives in Cornwall are available at the weekends only - Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 8am, from March to November.


Minimum Age: 16
Maximum Age: No maximum age - restrictions purely based on health
Maximum Weight: 15 stone

Your weight must be in line with your height - If you have any concerns in regards to this, please give our team a call prior to purchasing.

Prior to the jump, all skydivers are required to complete a BPA (British Parachute Association) medical declaration of health form - which must be witnessed. For under 18s, this witness must be a parent or guardian.

Please download the form, here.

Any jumpers who do not meet the conditions of the declaration of health will be required to complete the BPA Request for Medical Advice form - this is to be signed by your doctor prior to the jump. Failure to complete this will prohibit you from skydiving.

If you are disabled this does not mean you cannot skydive!

Tandem Skydives in Cornwall will last for around 10 minutes in total, with 30-0 seconds of free fall followed by around 6-7 minutes of parachuting back to ground level.

However, depending on the weather and which flight your jump is booked on for; you could expect to be at the centre for anything from 1.5 hours to a full day (9am - 5pm).

Friends and family are welcome to watch your tandem skydiving experience, and are encouraged to bring a camera to catch your excitement at ground level.

There is a viewing area with canteen refreshments, so they'll at least be warm and watered when standing around all day watching the drop zoners!

This tandem skydive experience can take bookings of up to 20 skydivers in one day, so group bookings are welcome.

Where is it Located
What to wear

You can wear casual and comfortable clothes for your skydive in Cornwall, as you'll be wearing the centre's safety gear for the jump itself, including: Boiler Suit, Cap, Goggles & Gloves.

It is advised that you wrap up warm in the colder months however, as it can be mightily chilly at several thousand feet - and standing round all day at the centre can be very cold.


Skydiving at Perranporth Airfield is weather dependent.

The conditions are very important for your skydive, so if it is too rainy, cloudy or snowy; you may have to wait at the centre until it is viable to jump. If the weather is unworkable on the day, your skydive will be rescheduled for a more convenient day.
