Lesson to gain your RYA approved Competent Crew Award, throwing you
in at the deep end of Sailing experiences and giving you an
authentic insight to the world of yacht sailing.
With a crew of expert instructors and fellow beginners all mucking in together, the range of jobs and tasks aboard the yacht will equip you with the skills to progress further in the wonderful sport of Sailing - spread over the entire weekend.The Sailing Lessons Weekend Pembrokeshire will equip you with a range of the basic skills to tackle the seas, with knot tying, sail handling and general on board lessons waiting to be taught in real time, you're guaranteed an in-depth lesson with many twists, turns and waves of emotion. The Competent Crew Award as credited by the RYA is an accolade waiting to be claimed, with a whole weekend including an over night stay the only obstacle en route to collecting that award. Your weekend's jobs will include anything and everything from manning the decks to making the dinner, giving you a truly authentic sailing experience.

There will be a maximum of five students per instructor.
Be prepared for changeable weather, plenty of layers. Waterproofs are a must, which can be supplied if needed. Woolly hat, gloves (for warmth and rope friction protection), shades with a retaining strap and sun cream. Deck boots and non-slip deck shoes or trainers that don’t mark. Be aware that everything is capable of getting wet. Take a sleeping bag & pillow. Take a towel - showers will be available at any marina’s you pull in to and a basic toilet and washbasin will be on board. Food will be supplied on board, cooking duties will be shared. Bring spending money for any meals out and drinks. Limited space on board, bring one large bag only.
Sailing courses can be weather dependent and in extreme circumstances may be rescheduled. Please check with the centre prior to arrival.
