ALL ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

Weekday Tandem Skydive Kent

Experience Tandem Skydiving at Headcorn, the closest airfield to London and enjoy the picturesque grounds based in Kent from 12,000ft! Strapped to an instructor, you will enjoy 30-40 secs of free fall

Tandem Skydiving over Headcorn Airfield is the ideal choice for those living close to London, as the picturesque countryside centre is only around 45 minutes from the centre of our Capital City - mixing together the ultimate adrenaline experience with some of the Garden of England's most lush countryside. With around 30-40 seconds of free fall supplied from a height of 12,000ft, you will be on the most extreme journey back to earth - aided by gravity and the expertise of the instructor attached to your back! Once the parachute has been deployed, you and the instructor will be on a 6-7 minute gentle float back down - safely landing without having to lift a finger as you just appreciate the view!Your tandem skydive at Headcorn Airfield in Kent will begin by signing the registration forms and sitting through a technique video, before going to the safety mats for a practical demonstration in where to tuck your head and legs throughout the jump. Then, once fully loaded with all of the techniques and info (should take around 30 minutes) - you will be ready to take to the skies in the plane with an instructor strapped to your back. Once all skydivers have been loaded into the plane in two single file rows, the plane will take you up to 12,000ft where the hatch will open and you'll await your turn to shuffle up to the open door ready to make the most insane journey of your life! Dangling your legs over the side and with nothing but fantastic views of the patchwork countryside - your instructor will roll you forward and begin 30-40 seconds of free fall as gravity pulls you 7,000ft toward the ground at a speed of 120mph! At the desired height, the instructor will open the parachute and you'll begin the 4-5 minute float back to earth. Once back on terra firma you'll take off the safety gear and be presented with a certificate of completion - along with an irremovable grin stretching from ear to ear.

Where is it Located
What to wear

You can wear comfortable and casual clothes for your tandem skydive in Kent, as you will be wearing the centre's safety equipment.

This skydiving safety equipment will include a boiler suit, goggles, cap and gloves.

It is advisable to wrap up warm in the colder months, as standing around waiting or even at 12,000ft can be very chilly indeed!

Weather

Skydiving in Kent is weather dependent.

In order to make the jump, the visibility must be greater than 5km, the wind must be less than 20kts and the clouds must not restrict the view of the ground.

There may be a bit of waiting around at the centre before taking to the skies, as the better the conditions - the better the skydive. If the conditions are unworkable, your experience will be rescheduled for a convenient date.
