During the warmer months our water activities become very popular, so we wanted to share with you a review on one of our jet skiing experiences. Throughout this review you'll find out exactly what is involved in the experience, the amazing route that the safari takes you on and what our most favourite sight along the way was. This jet skiing experience really was an incredible adventure to go on, with the breathtaking sights and high standard of customer service, we just can't recommend it enough.

As our Sat Nav informed us that we'd arrived at our destination, we looked around and found that it was very simple to identify where to park.  After we'd parked up, we went over to the meeting point and introduced ourselves to the other participants completing the Jet Ski Safari. Shortly after, our expert PWC instructor John walked over and welcomed everyone to the safari and then provided everyone with a wet-suit, waterproof jacket and helmet.

Once everyone was dressed and ready, John walked the group into a hut by the side of the marina and explained we'd need to watch a video that covers exactly how to control the jet skis and important health and safety information. After the video had finished, the group then walked towards the jetty and watched John demonstrate how we start, drive, turn and stop the jet skis. This actually looked a lot simpler than I expected, so I was feeling a lot more confident by this point. After we'd asked all our questions, it was then our time to get on one and begin our safari adventure

As we left the Marina and headed out into the the open sea, I started to feel extremely excited for what we were about to experience. The first practice John got everyone to do was driving and stopping the jet skis between a number of buoys. This was great fun, as we got to really push the speed and test the jet ski's ability. As the two of us were on the same jet ski, after every practice we switched places so that we both got the opportunity to drive. It was very amusing trying to switch places with each other, as it was difficult to keep the jet ski balanced and get around each other at the same time.

Then, it was the time we'd all been most looking forward to - time to hit the open sea at great speed! As we lined up across the water, creating enough space between us, we eagerly rested our hands on the throttle awaiting John's signal to go. When everyone was ready, John pointed to the direction of where we needed to go and then we were off! As we charged across the water, it was amazing to really push the speed up and get a huge adrenaline rush.  On every jet ski there was a speedometer, so we could see exactly how fast we were going and I couldn't help myself but keep pushing more and more on the throttle.  Although we definitely weren't the fastest in the group, this didn't matter as everyone was going at the pace that suited them.

At some points on the safari, John would stop and get the group together just to check how everyone was doing. I think it was obvious we were all absolutely ecstatic about the experience, so he quickly let us continue on the journey. Throughout the safari it was wonderful that we got to pass by a lot of scenic viewpoints, for example Poole Harbour - the second largest  harbour in the world - and the Jurassic Coast.  My favourite viewpoint along the safari was when we got up close to Durdle Door and saw the amazing rock formations. It was appreciated at this point, that we stopped and chatted with the group for a little bit of time, so that we could really soak in the incredible view that was right in front of us all.

Then, it was time to switch places with the other participant, to give them a go in the driving seat for the way back. I found that sitting on the back of the jet ski was equally as fun, as you had to hold on tight to the driver as you went over the waves as you really felt the force. As we sped across the water, it was lovely to take in the sights again that I missed on the way up. As we returned back to the marina, we were helped off the jet ski by another member of the team who finished off the safari.

As we left the venue, we both couldn't stop talking about how much fun we'd had on the Open Water Jet Ski Safari Experience. This is definitely an experience that we'd want to come back and do again. The feeling that you get from being on a jet ski is certainly not one I've ever felt before and just the complete thrill and adventure was extraordinary.  Thank you very much to John and all the team for such a great morning on the water - you really did make it an unforgettable experience!
