Reawaken your senses with this Jean-Christophe Novelli-approved international spices course. Enter the multi-award winning chef’s renowned academy and discover the history and various uses of fragrant fresh and dried spices from around the world.
The experience takes place at Jean-Christophe’s home, in picturesque Tea Green, Hertfordshire. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by one of the accomplished resident chefs. They’ll be your engaging guide – drawing on their own experience and the inspiration from Jean-Christophe as you begin to explore the wonderful world of spices, together. Throughout the session, you’ll enjoy informative talks and get hands-on, toasting and grinding spices to release their unique flavours and aromas. You’ll receive practical tips for purchasing, storing, and using them, before taking away a helpful fact sheet to inspire you in your home kitchen.

The course runs on selected weekdays throughout the year and is subject to availability.
It is recommended that you book at least 4 weeks before the course.
The minimum age for this is 18.
Unfortunately there is no disabled access on site as it is a 14th century listed building.

The academy course is suitable for groups of up to 12 people. The minimum group size required to run is 6.
Unfortunately this is not suitable for spectators.
Please wear whatever you are comfortable in. Flat shoes are recommended as you will be standing for a considerable amount of time.
This course is held indoors and therefore not weather permitting.
