A stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) tour is an ideal way to spend a few hours out on the water, testing your balance and having fun with this new and upcoming water sport. SUP is similar to surfing, but takes place on a much larger board with a long paddle used to push yourself along. It can be enjoyed for outdoor recreation, extreme river paddling, or even as a relaxing sightseeing tour.
This SUP guided tour is based in the heart of Gloucestershire, and will give you an exciting introduction to the sport as you paddle down the River Wye and take in the surrounding views. The expert instructor will get you kitted out with a wetsuit, helmet and board, then make sure you're comfortable on the water and confident enough to set off on the tour. As well as the lovely scenery, taking part in an SUP tour also provides many health benefits - your core fitness, balance and overall strength will be improved (a great alternative to going to the gym!). It is ideal for beginners aiming to get to grips with the basics, or those looking to perfect their SUP skills.
A day spent paddleboarding on the River Wye is the perfect activity to share with friends, or an experience gift for a loved one who has always wanted to try the new sport. It will provide laughs and fantastic views that will steal your concentration... Just don't fall in!
