Tuesday the 4th of March has been scribbled in the diary for months now – a day dedicated to cooking delicious pancakes, what could be better? Here at Experience Days, we think it’s only right that you prepare in style for this momentous day, so here are a few of the experiences we’re looking at to get us ready for the best pancake day ever.

Knife Skills And Fish Cooking Class In London

Now we’re not saying that fish pancakes are the way forward, but this class is excellent for refining skills needed for exquisite culinary accomplishments. Practise those intricate movements on one of the trickiest foods to work with, and by the time you come to ladle the pancake batter, you’ll be a seasoned pro with polished technical skills. During this London class, you will work under the guidance and supervision of a professional chef, learning hints and tips for perfect chopping, cutting, slicing and dicing. Fish is notoriously difficult to work with, so learning the skills here will make everything else seem easy in comparison! Now you have the skill, let’s move onto the decorating…

If you want to present the perfect pancake, then a little artistic flair is a must. This cupcake decorating class is just the ticket for beautiful icing work, improving creativity in the kitchen, and learning the skills for beautiful presentation of food. Using fondant icing, cream cheese and butter cream, you’ll learn from an expert baker how to properly pipe, shape and manipulate the icing to create gorgeous designs. This Bristol based class lasts for two sweet hours of sugary madness, and afterwards you’ll have several techniques under your belt, such as shaping icing into bows and piping roses – plus you get to take home the cakes you decorate! We all know that pancakes are most commonly served as a breakfast item, so why not complete the whole ensemble by learning how to produce perfect coffee along with your perfect pancakes? Coffee making is a fine art, one that can make a real difference to the finished product if you know what you’re doing. This half day barista course will teach you all you need to know about making the ultimate cup, including the rich, fascinating history of the drink, the creating process, and the differences between all the famous blends. At the end of the session you’ll have the skills to use a coffee machine properly, how to froth the milk until it’s light as a feather, and how to pour the greatest cup o’ joe imaginable.

After these classes, you’ll be well on your way to becoming the ultimate breakfast connoisseur, and Pancake Day will be more highly anticipated than Christmas Day in your household!
