Mountain Boarding Introduction - Hertfordshire

Enjoy a one hour introductory experience in mountain boarding, an exciting and heart-pumping adventure in Hertfordshire!

Mountain boarding is often compared to a more extreme version of skate boarding, with similar methods of controlling the board and the same set of skills needed to stay balanced. The main difference between the two, however, is that your feet will be strapped to the board, making maneuverability easier and allowing you to do more tricks. Mountain boarding is ideal for those who can already skate, but is also newbie friendly for the first-timers - think snowboarding on grass!

The mountain boarding experiences takes place on one of two purpose cut slopes overlooking three beautiful lakes, so you'll be sure to get lots of practice in and test your board to its full capability in the most picturesque setting. You'll be provided with your board, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist protection, and taken through a safety briefing before being shown how to safely stop and turn under control. Lean from left to right to steer, and pick up speed by gently turning to face downhill whilst slaloming all the way to the bottom - if you make it that far! The instructor will be on hand at all times to ensure you're improving the skills, going at your own pace, and most importantly having a great time.

Suitable for a whole range of ages (6-65), mountain boarding makes an excellent family fun day out, children's birthday party, and of course a great gift for anyone who enjoys some adrenaline fuelled fun. Once you master the skill of mountain boarding you'll never unlearn it - and you'll most certainly want to go again and again!

Very good intro into boarding. The instructor was paitent and knowledgable. Would definately recommend to others.

Highly recommended. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and had lots of patience!! Had a fantastic time, although had trouble walking the next day!

Really enjoyed the mountain boarding, had the lesson and was then just allowed to have a go on our own which is brilliant. Nice basic hill with jumps & rails to get you going, then onto the Super X which is just fantastic.

The kids had a great time. All the staff were excellent, making them feel welcome and communicating with them on an appropriate level. Once they were free to use the facilities without the instructor, the general atmosphere between the various groups of boarders was friendly and supportive.

It was a great day, very painful though but maybe thats just my body telling me to take it easy!!! Making it competitive made it all the more enjoyable... Thank you

An Excellent day was had by the group of children we took to the boarding day, excellent value for money and we will certainly be booking again.
