Bird of Prey hunting is a pastime that was popular with kings
and aristocrats in centuries past, and today it is an opportunity
for all Bird of Prey lovers to experience the joy and excitement of
handling these truly magnificent birds.During this fantastic
experience you will trek through beautiful countryside and
woodland, accompanied by Harris Hawks, dogs and ferrets as you
begin your adventure, hunting a range of wildlife including
pheasants, partridges and rabbits. You'll learn all about these
incredible birds, and get hands on experience handling and
interacting with the amazing birds of prey. Experience the joy and
rewarding nature of a day hunting with hawks!This is a full day
experience where you will go out on a days hunt with a Hawk in the
beautiful wooded countryside of Warwickshire. You will be out to
catch rabbits, pheasants and partridge, accompanied by a team of
Harris Hawks, a handy dog and a ferret or two.
Although rabbits can be hunted all year, hunting in Warwickshire has been restricted to the months of October-January inclusive because of the Pheasant season. Guests will assemble at Hatton and there will be a break for a pub lunch at Midday. Lunch is included in the price.
This is a fully hands on experience, where you will get to handle the Hawks yourself, with no previous experience required.
This experience is available in the months October through January Inclusive. They only on Saturdays with an arrival time of 10am.

This is a full day, you will need to meet at 10.00am and will finish at around 4.30pm.

There will be a maximum of 4 people in each party, this is to reduce disturbance.
Spectators are allowed on site but will need to pay an entrance fee. The cost of the fee will depend on if you visit on a weekend, school holiday or in term time due to the different activities available.
You will need to wear comfortable outdoor clothing and green wellies.
Because of the nature of this activity, it is likely to be affected by extreme weather conditions. Please call the centre if in any doubts before setting off.
