Game of Thrones fans rejoice! This 9-hour Game of Thrones tour
of Belfast is an immersive deep-dive into everyone’s favourite
fantasy drama, led by the ultimate Game of Thrones super-fan.
You’ll follow your guide through the beautiful landscapes of
Belfast, dress up like real Winterfell residents in cloaks and
replica weapons, explore a variety of filming locations used in the
show, and meet real Direwolf pups!
Your incredible Game of Thrones experience begins when you meet
your guide for the day. Get ready for some insider knowledge, as
this guide has themselves appeared on the show! Ask any questions
you may have, then it’s on to the first stop of the tour: Inch
Abbey, also known as King Robb’s camp. In fact, this is a grand
12th century monastic site and a stunning example of Gothic
architecture. Fans will also recognise it as the place where King
Robb was crowned ‘King in the North.’ Next, you’ll walk to
Tollymore forest park, where the Direwolf pups were initially
discovered. This part of the tour includes a 3km walk, so you’ll
surely work up an appetite for lunch, which will be taken in a
nearby traditional Irish pub. Expect warming, delicious dishes at
reasonable prices. Once the group is fed, it’s time to meet the
Direwolves! This is an ideal photo opportunity as you pose with the
famous dogs who played the Starks’ Direwolf pups. Finally, discover
Winterfell. Castle Ward Estate is an 18th century mansion so it’s
no surprise that its towering majesty and sprawling courtyards have
been re-appropriated to play parts of the fantasy lands Westeros,
Winterfell and the Riverlands.
This is the perfect gift for any Game of Thrones fan, and makes
a fantastic day out in Belfast.
