Maximillion Header
Located in both Glasgow and Edinburgh, Maximillion is unique in offering exciting outdoor experiences to the Scottish people. This week I’ve been talking to John about what makes Maximillion stand out, and why their experiences are unmissable.

1. Please explain a bit about the experiences you offer.

We have established two activity centres, MadMax Adventures just outside Edinburgh and Turnberry Adventures in Ayrshire south of Glasgow. Both centres have a range of outdoor activities including clays, archery, quads and 4×4 driving. Turnberry Adventures provides more family orientated experiences for guests from Turnberry Hotel so it also offers children’s activities including air rifles, junior quads and water zorbing.

Maximillion 62. What’s your favourite part of the job?

The majority of my job continues to be focused on managing Maximillion’s corporate clients, however I have really enjoyed developing the two activity centres. Entrepreneurially speaking, I get great satisfaction with innovating new products and taking them to market. MadMax and Turnberry Adventures are in the storming and forming stages respectively.

3. What’s your most frequently asked question?

We are often asked what else we do. Because we run a team building company that delivers a huge range of events throughout the UK and beyond, its an easy question to respond to. It’s all on our website.

Maximillion 54. What differentiates your company from others?

There is no other activity centre in central Scotland that offer’s the range of activities in such proximity to Edinburgh and Glasgow. To have clays, 4×4, archery and quads on the same site just ten miles from Edinburgh city centre is unique.

5. What’s your best memory from working in the industry?

We have had a lot of celebrities through our door but the day that stands out the most is probably when we had the Scottish Rugby team for an event of activities. My son had been born the day before and as I was wandering around the fields looking fairly chuffed when the sponsor from Famous Grouse asked why I was looking so pleased with myself. I told him and he congratulated me. The next day a bottle of Famous Grouse arrived in the post!
