Craft Brewery Tour of York

Discover historic York's thriving craft beer scene, during this all inclusive minibus tour of three terrific breweries.

York is home to a vibrant brewing culture, which promises great rewards to those curious enough to seek them out. Beyond its cobbled centre, the city and surrounds abound with daring innovators bent low over steaming vats – making careful measurements of water, barley, hops and yeast.

This tour of some of the city’s most exciting microbreweries begins at the York Tap, at York Station. Here, you’ll meet your guide and hop aboard the minibus, before heading to the first of three stops. The tour’s itinerary will depend on which day you attend*, but nonetheless guarantees an enlightening afternoon’s beer appreciation. Whether you’re sampling an unctuous Bad Kitty vanilla porter in Malton’s Brass Castle; looking round Half Moon’s converted forge, in Ellerton; or exploring the Viking roots behind Rudgate’s award-winning brews – even aficionados are sure to discover something new! Expect plenty of samples at each location – savoured in the company of passionate producers – and gorgeous Yorkshire scenery between stops. Finally, when the tour concludes, you can either return to York Station, or linger in the pub a little longer.

The Craft Brewery Tour of York is a carefree way to experience a blossoming independent scene. An Experience Days voucher makes a wonderful gift for anyone who appreciates a lovely pint.
