Cutting, de-boning, deconstructing, rolling; there are all sorts of skills involved with butchery that can make it a tricky business. Getting it wrong can mean wastage, and the possibility of a sub-standard cut of meat. The Butchery Masterclass in London will help improve your knife skills and ensure your chickens, racks of lamb and pork bellies are perfect every time!
The two hour class begins with an introduction to the professional butcher leading the session, and the participants joining you on the course. Located at a modern kitchen in Islington, you'll start with some knife sharpening and a demonstration on proper cutting techniques. First up is a whole chicken, teaching you the valuable skills involved with breaking it down into legs, breasts, and the magic wishbone. You'll also try your hand at rolling and stuffing a pork belly, before perfecting the art of French trimming a rack of lamb.
This two hour masterclass is ideal for budding chefs looking to improve their skills, or as a unique experience gift for a cooking enthusiast. All meat prepared during the class can be packaged up and taken home, perfectly prepped for a fantastic meal!
Classes run around at least twice a month, subject to availability.
The minimum age is 16, however this is not strict so please enquire upon purchase if you would like to book for someone younger.
