ALL ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

Bird of Prey Half Day Experience - Herefordshire

A brilliant half day falconry and bird of prey experience - meet & greet a range of powerful raptors and get to grips with flying owls, hawks and eagles.

Try your hand at flying majestic birds of prey during this half day experience in Herefordshire. Located at a picturesque aviary in the countryside, you'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a number of birds, learning about their habits and differences from an expert guide and feeling their immense power as they land on your outstretched arm.

The half-day experience begins on arrival at the centre, where you'll be introduced to your guide and shown around the aviary. Throughout the session you'll get the chance to handle and fly a selection of birds, which can include Snowy Owls, Buzzards, Peregrine Falcons, Harris Hawks, Eagle Owls and more. Your guides are highly knowledgeable and more than able to answer any questions you may have, so be sure to test their expertise! After a brief demonstration, you'll be shown how to properly handle the birds, and using some tasty treats (usually dead mice), the birds will launch themselves from your arm and land back again. The birds are trained to be entirely comfortable with human contact, so there will be plenty of opportunity to take photos throughout the day.

A great gift for keen ornithologists or for those who love trying new and unique activities, you can't go wrong with a half day bird of prey flying experience in Herefordshire.
