Flying Lessons Experience Days: Take to the skies during this 30 minute Tiger Moth trial flight in York and get to grips with the basics of flying from your expert pilot instructor. You'll be flying in a Tiger Moth aircraft, one of the world's most famous planes during WWII.
Your instructor will meet you one hour prior to your flight at Breighton Airfield, to take you through a thorough safety briefing on ground. Once you are both ready for take off, you'll step into the open cockpit Tiger Moth and leave ground! This is a dual control aircraft, meaning you and your pilot will be working together, and you'll be in charge of some controls such as the stick and pedal. This 30 minute flight might even allow you and your pilot to fly over York and other nearby locations, but this can be discussed further when booking. Throughout your flight, you and your pilot can communicate via the headsets in the aircraft whilst soaking up the fantastic views together, and the panoramic sightings are even more breath taking due to the Tiger Moth's open cockpit design.
