Rock climbing and abseiling in the peak district with a friend is great way to learn the fascinating and truly enjoyable sport of climbing and abseiling in some of the best locations in the UK.

If you want to give climbing a try, this full day course for two in the Peak District is a great way to learn as not only will you be taught how to climb, but to abseil as well! The Peak District is littered with natural rock outcrops perfect for climbing, but Brisham Rocks and Almscliff are among the best in the country thanks to their size and shear number of different routes and faces. The expert instructors will show you the ropes on the ground before letting you loose to climb and abseil up and down the faces under their guidance. Once you have reached the summit of the crag, make sure you take a second to take in the spectacular, uninterrupted views across the surrounding area.

Heathersage

Your rock climbing and abseiling experience for two will begin with a warm welcome to the centre from the instructors that will be leading your experience. Once you have been kitted out with the provided safety equipment, the instructors will run through a short safety briefing and introduction to the equipment. You and your partner will then work together to practice some of the essential techniques used in climbing, such as belaying, to ensure you can help each other out while climbing! The day will then be split between climbing up and abseiling down the many different routes on the rock faces. By the end of the session, you will both be confident climbing tricky faces and be competent in the basic skills, ready to take on your next rock climbing adventure!

All under 18's must be accompanied by their parent or legally appointed guardian.
There is no upper age limit, but a certain level of fitness is required to really enjoy this experience.

The rock climbing experience will begin at 10am and finishes at 5pm.

Spectators are welcome to attend and watch from the ground. Both centres are in an area of outstanding natural beauty so there is plenty to keep them amused during the day.

Experiences are run 7 days a week from March to October and start at 10am.

Please wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day and sturdy footwear - all the specialist and safety equipment will be provided by the centre.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.

The full day rock climbing course can be effected by bad weather as the crags are very exposed. If your experience is cancelled due to weather you will be booked in for a later date.
