Whitecliff 4x4 Driving Experience - Full Day

Learn and practice your 4x4 skills alongside a BORDA qualified instructor with this fantastic off road driving experience based in one of the UK's most beautiful off road landscapes. You will have 40 acres in which to tear up the tough terrain! The site is perfect for all abilities and your instructor will have you rapidly developing your skills and technique throughout the day. You will be faced with a variety of level-based courses and runs and it will be your job to overcome a range of obstacles, hills and muddy mounds! So embrace this exhilarating experience and enjoy an incredible full day of driving!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre at 09.30, your Whitecliff 4x4 experience will begin with a tea / coffee welcome & introduction to your BORDA qualified instructor. You will be discussing what is to be achieved on the day, the vehicles and the safety aspects of off road driving. Once you've briefed up it's time to buckle up and get ready to hit the driving site! Starting with a walking analysis of the challenging off road track, you will discuss the best techniques and routes to take on your drive, before getting into your vehicle and achieving just that! With the instructor in the front seat and nobody in the back, you'll be tackling the tricky terrains all morning in a powerful off road machine!

After you've stopped for lunch (buffet lunch included in price), you'll be back out again in the afternoon learning some more advanced techniques, such as failed hill reverse techniques, negotiating cross-ruts, steep inclines & declines, muddy mounds and even water (weather permitting!) The ground is very demanding and dictates the experience, but you will be able to confidently tackle most terrains and 4x4 vehicles upon completion of this course. You will finish up on some of the centre's 'Black-Runs', such as the: 'Gully', 'Twister', & 'Screamer'! You will be awarded a certificate upon completion of the course, after the de-brief back in the classroom at the end of the day.

Minimum Age: 17

Participants must hold a full Driving License, and be able to drive an unmodified 4x4 vehicle.

The 4x4 Full day will last for around 6.5 hours in total.

There will be a maximum of 3 people per vehicle / instructor.

Spectators are welcome but a small charge will be made for refreshments. Extra lunches must be pre-ordered at least three days prior to your arrival.

This experience is available on most Mondays- Saturdays throughout the year- subject to availability.

The centre will close for two weeks over Christmas.
Please note, The centre also runs owner driver courses where customers may use their own vehicle on the day - Discovery 4 pictured was a customer's own car. For this option please enquire upon booking.

Please wear weather proof clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Sturdy shoes or trainers are fine, but be prepared to get them a little dirty!

The experience is rarely affected by weather conditions and will only cease to operate in the most extreme of cases. Please phone the centre on the day to confirm that the experience is going ahead.
