Your photography workshop begins when you meet Richard, your professional guide in a local café. You'll be able to chat about your experience and skill level. This enables him to tailor the workshop to specific needs of the group, providing an enriching experience. This course is tailored for beginners but also welcomes those with experience who want to learn more. He'll help you understand the full extent of your camera's settings, features, and tools to help you get the best out of them. Once ready, Richard will lead the group leisurely through town, giving you the chance to put what you've learnt into action! Get some fabulous shots of Edinburgh's most famous attractions and landmarks. After gathering the best of Edinburgh on your camera, it'll be time to reconvene at a cosy local pub to go through your pictures together.

What to Wear

You should wear sensible walking shoes, and dress for the weather.

Please bring your digital camera, which should have an 'M' mode for this workshop. 

This means that you can manually set the exposure of your camera. 

The workshop is possible using a single lens, however, you will not need anything more than a telephoto zoom (e.g. 70-200mm); a standard zoom (e.g. 18- 55mm); a wide-angle lens (e.g. 12- 20mm); and a prime lens (e.g. 50mm) - don’t worry if you don’t have all these lenses.
