Helicopter Experience Days: Climbing on board the R22 helicopter will be one of the most exciting and amazing things you will experience. Known for its light utility and T-shape control, the R22 is great for learning how to fly as you take a ride in the co-pilot seat. This exciting experience will give you the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sights of the Welshpool countryside from a birds’ eye view, whilst experiencing flying first hand - truly unmissable!
Whether you aspire to obtain your helicopter flying licence or you simply want to try out how it feels to be in control in the sky, this unique and amazing experience makes the perfect gift for friends and family who love a thrill! After a safety briefing with your highly experienced pilot, it is time for you to take to the sky and spend an hour skimming the clouds. With a fully qualified instructor by your side, you will be guided throughout your heli flight and shown how to make the most of the magical machines. This 60 minute experience can count towards the required 45 hours of fly time needed for your helicopter flying licence, and is an excellent start to your flying journey!

Availability
The trial lessons run 7 days a week from April to October on demand.
Please note that this experience is weather dependant.
Requirements
Minimum age: 14 years
Maximum weight: 16 stone
Participants must be able to climb in and out of the helicopter unassisted.
The 60 minutes of instruction can be used towards the 45 hours minimum required for a license PPL (Private Pilot Licence).
Duration
Experience Duration: 1:00
Time Spent at Venue: 1:30
This is a 60 minute trial flight - however, you will alsoreceive a 30 minute briefing prior to take off.
Please expect to be at the airfield for approximately 90 minutesin total.

This one hour trial flying lesson is based on one-to-one tuitionin a two-seater R22 helicopter
Spectators are welcome to come along and watch you take off fromthe ground.

Please dress comfortably and according to the weather conditions on the day.
Weather
As with all flying experiences, this helicopter trial flying lesson is subject to weather conditions.
Should visibility be too poor, or conditions deemed unsafe, you will simply be able to re-schedule your flight for an alternative date.
