Watersport Experience Days: Master the basics of stand-up paddleboarding and cruise the waters of Brighton during this two-hour SUP lesson. With no experience required, this paddleboarding session is a fun way to explore a section of the South coast!
Begin your session by kitting up, and listening to a safety briefing with a rundown on SUP basics. Once you and your fellow paddlers of the group are ready and raring to go, you will head into the water at Brighton Marina and venture out with your expert instructor. As you learn how to control your paddleboard and navigate in the water, you and your group will gently make your way eastwards. Heading toward Ovingdean and Rottingdean, you can admire the scenic sights of Brighton as you master the art of paddleboarding. During your two-hours on the water you'll cover everything from safety awareness and techniques to essential SUP skills, as well as a few fun games to try out. Please bear in mind that should the weather be a little rough, the venue may change to the inner harbour within Brighton Marina. The content of the lesson will be very similar, just with a different view.

Availability
The SUP Lesson Sussex is available on selected weekdays and weekends from March to October.
Requirements
You must be able to swim 50 metres fully clothed (2 lengths of a
standard pool) and you should have a reasonable level of
fitness. You must be at least 18 years old to take part in this Brighton activity.
The maximum weight for this SUP experience is 16 stone.
The maximum height is 6ft 2".
Unfortunately, the SUP lessons are not wheelchair accessible.

Spectators are welcome to watch from the side of the beach.
Where is it Located
What to Wear
The centre will provide you with all of the relevant equipment
except a wetsuit.
You should also bring:
- a swimming costume
- towel
- sun block (in summer)
- warm clothes (to change into afterwards) and shoes
