Thames Rockets are London's favourite exhilarating speed boat experience provider. As a result of Covid-19, Thames Rockets have ensured their business is Covid secure to keep everyone safe whilst speeding down the River Thames!
We've asked them a few questions to find out what measures they have in place to keep customers safe.

How many people do you allow on your boats to allow for social distancing?

As an outdoor, small capacity (12 seater) venue Thames Rockets are a naturally low risk attraction, however additional measures are in place to ensure the safety of our passengers and crew. Paperless check-in, passenger bubbles distanced for outdoor kit-up, enhanced cleaning and sanitising procedures, passenger bubble boarding from the back to the front of the vessel and paired seating (no passengers from separate groups will ever be sat together) means Thames Rockets can safely operate at recommended capacity guidance.

    When must facemasks be worn?

Passengers must wear a facemask to access the London Eye Pier. Once at Thames Rockets boarding gate and checked in, groups are allocated their own outdoor waiting area where they are welcome to remove masks for the duration of their time with us remaining socially distanced at all times.

How often are facilities and equipment cleaned?

Enhanced cleaning procedures are in place across all facilities and equipment. Lifejackets are sanitised after each wear and the vessels are enhanced cleaned before every departure prior to passenger boarding.

    Do you provide hand sanitiser?

There is hand sanitiser provided which is mandatory for all passengers and crew to use when boarding the vessel prior to departure. The crew are all issued with clip-on hand sanitizer when on board.

How do you plan to reduce physical contact?

Our kitting-up, boarding and disembarking procedures have been carefully revised to ensure passenger group bubbles are socially distanced throughout their time with us. At no point is there reason for close contact to be necessary other than within individual booking groups.

How have you enforced social distancing throughout the experiences you offer?

Upon arrival, passengers are allocated their own marked outdoor area to maintain distance throughout the kitting-up procedure. Sanitised lifejackets are collected by one member of each party with step-by-step fitting instructions given by our crew. Passengers board in reverse order of arrival filling from the back row to the front to avoid unnecessary contact. Only once seated are the next group invited to board. Passengers are seated in pairs facing forwards and never will a member of one booking party be seated next to a member of another booking party. When disembarking passengers are invited from the front to the back to remove lifejackets at distance before leaving the pier.

    Thanks for Reading!
