Embark on an unforgettable evening out with this fabulous sailing course. Learn the all important skills and techniques to helming your own vessel, and with plenty of hands-on tuition you'll be steering yourself around Southampton's waters in no time. The qualified instructor will on hand thorughout to offer helpful hints and tips, whilst ensuring you leave the lesson with a full understanding of how the boat and mast work. Whether you're looking to get stuck into sailing and start handling the sails and learning the different terminology, or perhaps simply wishing to enjoy an incredible evening out on the water within the saftey of the cockpit, your experience can be tailored to suit.The evening sailing experience will begin with a full safety briefing as you get kitted out in the necessary gear. Learn the basic skills and techniques from the qualified instructor before having a go at controlling the vessel yourself. Listen to the expert tuition as you put the theory to practice and explore Southampton's coastline before relaxing within the cockpit as the other participants take their turns. Your experience will draw to a close with a glass of white wine (for over 18s only) as you return to port.
Evening sailing classes start at either 5:50pm or 7:30pm, and run from May to September on selected Saturdays and Weekdays.

Please Note: There will be up to 6 other participants on the experience as well.
Spectators welcome to wave off from the marina, however will not be allowed on-board.
Due to the nature of this experience please dress for all
weather conditions, including several layers of clothing, non-deck
marking shoes (eg trainers/deck shoes, no black soles), shower
proof jacket, hat, sunglasses and sun lotion.
