The PADI Open Water Diver Referral Course is the first part of
the most popular diving course in the world, and is your first step
into the exciting undersea world of scuba diving! Diving is an
exhilarating, pleasurable and highly rewarding activity which can
only be enjoyed safely if you are appropriately trained. This great
course covers the basics of diving and safety, and an instructor
will take you through all of the confined water dive skills you
will need to dive safely and independently. This course is the
first step in becoming a certified scuba diver and at the end of it
you will be qualified to dive to 18 metres for the rest of your
life! You will learn to use basic scuba gear during the PADI Open
Water Diver course, including a dive computer and standard
accessories. You will complete five confined water sessions where
you will be taught all of the skills necessary for diving in open
water. You will also learn dive theory knowledge which will
conclude with a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course. This
will then leave four open water dives left to do, which can be
accomplished at a PADI dive resort of your choice in the UK or
abroad. At the end of the course your Referral Certificate (part of
your Log Book) will be signed and this is valid for 12 months. You
then have the choice of doing your Open Water qualifying dives at
any worldwide PADI Dive Centre.
This course does not include the study material and manual book. Pre-course study materials cost an additional £48.95 to be paid directly to the dive centre.
