Shooting Experience Days: Similar to other combat sports such as laser tag or paintballing, airsoft is a tactics game designed to immerse the players in the military mind-set. This thrilling half day group experience, held at a couple of UK based locations, is a fantastic way to unleash your inner commandos.

Having arrived at your chosen location, you'll be greeted by a professionally trained marshall and will have a chance to get to know the rest of your comrades (who may also turn out to be your rivals). Once you've signed the insurance waiver and have been kitted out with the necessary safety gear, including protective clothing and a full face mask, you'll be introduced to your pre-loaded airsoft gun - this will be your best friend for the duration of the game. Safety briefings out of the way, the fun can really begin...you and your team-mates will head out into the battlefield - keeping your mission target in mind, you'll work together to complete the assigned task. Airsoft includes 6mm plastic pellets - these hurt a lot less than paintballs, but you'll want to avoid bit hit, should you hope to claim victory of the game. After around 2 hours of airsoft fun, you'll hand the equipment back and check the final scores for the session.

A fantastically thrilling alternative to paintball, this airsoft war game is a brilliant experience gift for those of a competitive nature, and is even more fun when shared with a group of friends or "comrades".

Myself and my brother got the zombies experience as a present for Christmas and booked up to the Bury location. We're both from Newcastle so it was quite the drive to the location. Nevertheless we were both pretty excited and didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival we parked up in a car park just round the corner from the venue on an industrial estate. The venue was the 3rd floor of an old warehouse property and we arrived in plenty of time. We waited for the staff to give a safety briefing before the experience commenced. This is where it all went a bit downhill.... The safety briefing given was poor and clearly not rehearsed (a bit like the rest of the day we were about to experience). It was like it was the first time the staff working there had put on this event. We then went through to get our overalls, allocated different teams and shown how to use the airsoft guns. The 'Sergeant' gave us a briefing on a potential outbreak of some sort of virus, similar to the typical zombie outbreak story you'd usually expect, however from start to finish the storyline we were told was so difficult to follow. Again, it seemed like none of this had been rehearsed and was a bit all over the place. The day was based around going into 1 zombie infested area, shooting a few zombies, collecting some intel/ammo and returning to the same safe area for a briefing on your next mission. I'll be honest I expected to be going to a number of different areas on various floors of the building to keep the day fresh, however this was not the case. The day quickly got quite boring and tedious so we made of it what we could. Half way through the day we had a break at which point the fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the building. I know this couldn't be avoided, however it completely ruined any immersion that was left as all the zombies ended up having to leave and we stood outside chatting with them! Overall it was a very unorganised day that was quite disappointing considering the cost and time it took to get there.
