Cooking Experience Days: This informative class offers a hand-on introduction to the baking methods behind some Italian favourites. Learn from a master of the craft, as you make classic pizza, focaccia and grissini from scratch, and gather expectantly round the wood-fired oven.
Upon arrival, the small group will sit down to discuss the day’s programme over coffee. Your teacher, Paul, has been involved in the industry for over forty years – twenty of which have been spent teaching courses like yours. Under his capable supervision, you’ll bake authentic pizza, focaccia, grissini and semolina bread. You’ll discover the secret to perfect golden crusts, shape the ultimate cocktail hour antipasto, and turn out stunning flatbreads from the searingly hot wood-fired oven. What’s more, the session includes a tour of the working watermill the class occupies, ahead of the final tasting.
