Enjoy a 5-hour wildlife photography lesson in Cheshire - and learn to photograph Asian safari animals like a pro!

Are you—or is someone you know—an aspiring wildlife photographer? Have you watched every David Attenborough doc going? Well, check this out! It’s a five-hour Asian wildlife photography lesson in Chester Zoo. Led by an expert instructor, it’ll teach you how to take stunning images of tigers, elephants, orangutans, and more!

Since it opened in 1931, Chester Zoo has become one of the UK’s top animal attractions. Named the third best zoo in the world by TripAdvisor in 2017, it cares for an astonishing 21,000 animals! Your voucher includes entry to the park, where you’ll be greeted by lesson instructor Rachel Sinclair. Rachel is a passionate wildlife photographer and animal-lover with experience teaching students from all walks of life. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a keen hobbyist, she’ll show you how to make the most of your equipment while photographing orangutans, tigers, rhinos and more from the zoo’s landscaped Asian area. Over a lively five hours, you’ll cover several of your camera’s key manual settings—including aperture, shutter speed and ISO. You’ll also discuss shot composition and discover the best angles to capture these photogenic (but occasionally camera-shy!) subjects. When the lesson concludes, you’re free to stay on inside the park, before leaving with loads of newfound skills and a memory card-ful of photos to share with family and friends.

The Asian wildlife photography experience in Cheshire would make a unique experience gift for anyone who enjoys photography and animals—naturally. Treat them to an Experience Days gift voucher today!

I had a wonderful day doing Rachel's Wildlife Photography course at Chester Zoo. I love wildlife photography and had done several photography courses previously but Rachel's clear explanations of how to best use my camera and also to get the best shots were far superior to any advice I have had before. She is a lovely person, incredibly patient and understanding. The day was taken at a pace which we could all cope with and I learned a great deal. This time I have confidence that I will "Get off auto" and improve my photography skills. I would very happily do more of Rachel's courses. Very highly recommended.

I purchased the wildlife photography package for my daughter which took place at Chester Zoo. I can only say she loved it and learnt a lot from Rachel. She came back with a full memory card of photographs, some of which I have had printed and now sit on my wall at home. I thoroughly recommend any of Rachel's courses, value for money.

That will be fine to use, as long as it has the same manual features as a DSLR, including aperture, shutter speeds and ISO.
