Rally Driving in York will equip you with some of the essential skills of the Rally world, including steering & pedal control, power slides and handbrake turns - not just great additions to your driving skill repertoire; but magnificent fun as well! Behind the wheel of the Ford RS2000 - a car synonymous with the Rally world, you'll get some serious 'hands-on' driving experience in a controlled environment. With a professional instructor sat next to you, your skills will be up for practicing and perfecting on a gravel track - with timed laps and challenging routes to test your new found skills!

York

Your Rally Driving Experience in York will begin with a welcome introduction, where you'll be shown the track, the car and your professional instructor for the day. Then, once acquainted you'll begin your brief which covers the aforementioned and the safety aspects before donning the race gear and hitting the practice area for the first of your driving skill enhancement sessions. Focussing on steering control, pedal control and handbrake turns, you will be under the watchful supervision of the instructor - before beginning the first of five timed laps. Once your driving is over, you'll swap seats with the instructor for a high speed passenger ride with the professional driving showing you how it is done.

Minimum Age: 17

Participants must have a full UK Driving License.

York Rally Driving Experience will last for around 3.5hrs.

You may be sharing your York Rally Experience with up to four other participants.

Spectators are welcome to watch.

York Rally Driving Experience runs on selected weekdays and weekends from February through November.

All Rally equipment is provided by the centre, you should casual clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty - and shoes like trainers are fine.

The most extreme of weather conditions may affect whether the experience runs or not. Please contact the centre on the day to ensure it is going ahead.
