Enjoy learning the art of fishing in the beautiful surroundings of the Scottish countryside. You will start the day with a full introduction to the skills and techniques of fishing before casting your first line into the picturesque River Clyde. Your expert instructor will be there throughout the day to ensure you progress quickly and help to optimise your catch rate. No previous experience is required making this is the perfect introduction for beginners.

Abington

Your Trout River Fishing experience will begin with a welcome to the centre by your instructor. Your lesson will begin with the basic principles and techniques of fishing. You will be taught, among other skills, how to thread the tackle, cast the line and landing the catch before taking your new skills to the river. You will spend the afternoon on the riverbank casting your line trying to catch the largest fish to brag about over the lunch break. Your experience will draw to a close with photograph with your biggest catch.

There is no minimum or maximum age limits.

Please allow 5 hours at the centre.

This experience is perfect for individuals and groups alike.

Spectators are welcome but are charged at £10 per person on the day.

This experience is available on selected weekend throughout the year.

All tackle equipment is provided by the centre.
Please bring wellies or waders and wear warm comfortable clothing.

This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please contact the centre on the day to make sure it is going ahead.
