Get into the role of a World War 2 fighter pilot in training with this great 20 minute Tiger Moth flight experience. You will be kitted out in authentic fighter pilot uniform before attending the mission brief and flight plan including safety procedures. The Tiger Moth was first introduced in 1932 as a training plane for Spitfire pilots and has a maximum speed of 139kts making it a great training aircraft. Your expert pilot will take off and get you to a safe altitude before handing you the controls giving you the chance to feel just like a trainee Spitfire pilot!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre, your experience will begin with a mission planning session and brief on the legendary Tiger Moth. To make sure you really feel the part you will be kitted out in an authentic World War 2 fighter pilot uniform before heading out to the plane to get strapped in to the open top cockpit. Once up in the air you will be flying over the beautiful countryside around South Yorkshire, the same area the pilots of the 'Dambuster' mission trained! You will get a chance to take the controls yourself and fly the Bi-plane experiencing first-hand what it was like to be a WWII pilot.

Minimum Age: 13
Please do not wear high heels.

You will spend 20 minutes in the air, but please allow around an hour at the centre.

Spectators are welcome to wave you of from the ground.

Flight are available most weekdays and weekends throughout the year.

You will be kitted out in authentic World War 2 fighter pilots uniforms.
Please wear sensible shoes (no high heels).

This experience can be affected by adverse weather. Please call the centre on the day to check your flight is going ahead.
