Silverstone Single Seater Thrill

Get behind the wheel fo the 1600cc Ford Duratec for an authentic driving experience at Silverstone circuit. Enjoy 2 runs in the fantastically fast Single Seater and sit just inches from the ground!

Experience the thrill of driving a single seater racing car at Silverstone, one of the worlds leading motor sport venues. This is a premier racing experience, you will be kitted up in your racing gear just inches from the ground, feel the unique experience and freedom of the single seater! You will be driving the 1600cc Ford Duratec on circuits used by the top F1™ teams before moving on to the big circuit with Silverstone's race school instructors!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed the centre your Single Seater Thrill will begin with a 10 minute brief covering the track, techniques and safety. Then you will be donning your racing gear for the day (including overalls and helmet) before getting in the 1600cc Ford Duratec for the first run of Silverstone circuit. Your first run will be behind the pace setting safety car and will last for around 8 minutes. The next run is what you've been waiting for, as you are let loose with a clear view to enjoy 10 minutes in the amazingly fast Single Seater!

Participants need to have held a full driving licence for at least a year which must be presented on the day.

The Single Seater Thrill will last for around 50 minutes, but expect to be at the centre for around 1.5 hours.

Spectators are welcome to come and watch, however if the date co-insides with a major event - only one car pass will be issued for entry in to the circuit.

The Single Seater Thrill operates throughout the year, normally once or twice per month.

You should wear clothing that covers your arms and legs, and flat soled shoes. All safety equipment is supplied by the centre on the day.
