Powerboat Experience Essex

Get on board the 6 meter R.I.B Powerboat and learn some of the basics of handling these powerful boats under the supervision of expert RYA instructors.

Step aboard a R.I.B powerboat and experience the thrill of driving these powerful and nimble boats through the waters of the Wat Tyler Country Park in Essex. With coaching from RYA instructors, you will be in expert hands as they show you how to handle these boats in different situations giving you the grounding to become a competent powerboat driver. The session will follow the guidelines of the RYA level 2 course giving you plenty of hands on driving time to explore the capabilities of the 6 meter powerboat.

Basildon

Your Powerboat Experience will begin with a welcome to the centre where you will be able to get changed and receive a short safety briefing covering aspects of boat safety and what you will be covering in the experience. Next, you will head out to the waterside with the other participants and climb aboard the 6 meter powerboat to begin the session taking it in turns at the helm practising a variety of manoeuvres and procedures. You will spend no less than 45 minutes out on the water which will include plenty of hands on driving time.

Minimum Age: 16

The experience will last for around an hour with a minimum of 4 minutes on the water.

Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the jetty, but their viewing will be limited.

Powerboat Experience Essex is available 7 days a week throughout the year. Two weeks notice is required for booking.
