Develop your skills and discover the advanced techniques of landscape photography with this fantastic course. The hands-on lesson will begin with an a overview of the basic photography skills, including aperture and shutter speeds before focusing on the more advanced techinques required to capture dramatic lanscape shots! Enjoy learning an array of new skills, from positioning the horizon using the rules of thirds to understanding when light meters and wide angled lenses should be used! The entire experience takes place outside giving you plenty of time to put the theory to practice!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your experience will begin with an overview of the basics, before moving onto the advance techniques of landscape photography. The qualified instructor will take you to a number of different locations ideal for practising the skills, including motion blur, shooting into the light and focusing on unusual viewpoints. Throughout the experience you will also learn how to use filters and wide angled lenses to your advantage whilst listening to the helpful hints and tips from the professionals. Your experience will draw to a close with a de-brief, including a discussion of the skills learnt.

Minimum Age: 18

You MUST be at a competent level of photography, with knowledge and understanding of the manual controls and capabilities of a digital SLR Camera, including aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, composition and exposure control.

This experience lasts approximately 8 hours.

Please Note: There will be 4-8 other participants on your course.

The experience is available on selected Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, usually starting at 9am.

This experience takes place entirely outside so please wear warm, comfortable clothes and footwear suitable for the weather.

You will need to bring a digital SLR camera, with a formatted memory card, fully charged batteries and a tripod.

This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please contact the centre on the day to make sure it is going ahead.
