Continuing the mad craze of kite based extreme sports hitting our shores each year, Kite Buggying or ‘Parakarting’ is spectacularly good fun! Bringing together a three wheeled buggy, a powerful kite and no brakes whatsoever, the sport of Kite Buggying is fabulously good fun! Situated about 3 inches from the ground, it is your mission to control your kite and gain some serious speed! This one day intro course is a great way to learn the sport and some of the techniques required to really enjoy the craziest sport to hit our shores lately.

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of Kite Buggying. It is then time to get familiarised with the equipment - buggy, kite, harness etc. Then it's time to have some fun! You will learn to fly and control traction kites which will get you used to the power that the kites generate. Once your kite skills have been sufficiently developed it is time to get you into the buggy to enjoy your first runs. From here the fun really begins!

The minimum age is 16.
There are no specific requirements regarding maximum size but you will need to fit into a harness, please check with the centre when booking if you have concerns regarding this.

If you have a particular medical condition that you think may affect your ability to do the course, please check with the centre when booking.

The course will last five to six hours over the course of a day.

Group sizes vary but will usually be 2 - 4 students per instructor. Spectators are welcome but please listen to the instructors as to where the safest place to stand and watch is.

Most centres are open from March - November. Some are open all year round. Courses take place most weekends and during the week. Please call us if you want to confirm availability during the winter.

All equipment will be supplied - this includes kite, buggy, harness, helmet and pads. You should wear trainers and clothes that you don't mind getting muddy.

Land Buggying is weather dependent, you need wind! Please make sure you call the centre either the day before or on the actual day of your course to check that your lessons is going ahead.
