Kayaking Lesson Sussex

Experience learning how to Kayak with BCU trained experts, on a picturesque reservoir in East Grinstead. Learn Kayak and Canoe skills with a BCU trained expert on this 3hr session with all equipment.

Kayaking in West Sussex is not only spectacularly good fun, gloriously picturesque and terrific exercise - but it's also a great way to learn something new and spark a new hobby! From learning the many paddle manoeuvres to safely escaping a capsized Kayak - this great session will introduce you in a controlled environment and under the strict tutelage of your expert instructor. The closest Kayaking centre to Crawley, this great reservoir has taught the ropes to many budding Canoe and Kayak lovers down the years, as even the most daring of white water Kayakers have to start somewhere...

East Grinstead

Your Kayaking Lesson Sussex will begin with a welcome introduction, covering the safety aspects and vital skills of the popular water sport - including what you can expect to achieve from your 3 hour Kayaking Lesson. Then, once briefed, you'll be ready to don the attire and hit the water for a fantastic skill learning and Canoe introduction session, where you'll be learning everything from smooth paddle control to using extreme power - and more great 'in Kayak' manoeuvres. With the BCU trained expert at hand throughout, you can learn the skills as they are supposed to be taught, and it is fantastic fun at the same time! To finish the experience, you may get the chance to compete in some games; allowing you to put the newly acquired skills to the test!

Minimum Age: 16
Maximum Weight: 16 stone

(Under 18's must be accompanied by a PARTICIPATING parent / guardian.)
All Participants must be confident in the water.

Kayaking Lesson Sussex will last for around 3-4 hours in total.

You may be sharing the experience with up to 6 others.

Spectators are welcome to watch your Canoe and Kayak Lesson from the side of the reservoir.

Kayaking Lesson Sussex is available on selected weekdays and weekends from March to November.

The centre will provide you with all of the equipment except a wetsuit.

You Should Bring:

• Swimming Costume
• Towel
• Sun Block (Summer)
• Warm Clothes (to change into afterwards)

Kayaking Lessons in Crawley may be affected by the weather, please contact the centre on the day if you are unsure that it is going ahead.
