Experience the magnificent sport of Kayaking with this great taster session, covering all the basics and much more as you are let loose for 2 hours with an experienced instructor!

Messing about on the river may never be the same again! This Kayaking Experience will get you out on the water in no time and teach you why this most popular of paddle sports has an army of devotees. From exploring inland waterways to surfing breaking waves, and from negotiating whitewater to sprints, time trials and even performing acrobatics – kayaking truly has something for everyone. Complete with a full 2 hours of tuition from a qualified instructor this course will teach you everything you need to know to get you out of onto the open water. Once you experience what kayaking has to offer you're sure to want to come back for more.

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the water and the kayak you will be in for the experience. Once kitted out in the wetsuit and safety gear, you will be ready to head on out onto the open water to begin learning the basics. Your instructor will be providing constant tuition, including paddling and safety techniques. After you’ve had a length of time practicing the basics, you might get to take part in some on-water games and really test your skills!

Maximum Weight: 16 stone

(Under 18's must be accompanied by a PARTICIPATING parent / guardian.)
All Participants must be confident in the water.

The Kayak Experience will last for around 2 hours.

Spectators are welcome. There will be a maximum of 8 people per instructor. For groups of more than 4, availability can be on demand.

Kayaking Experience is available all year round.

The centres will provide you with the kayak & wetsuit.

• Swimming Costume
• Towel
• Sun Block (Summer)
• Warm Clothes (to change into afterwards)

The Kayaking Experience may be rescheduled in extreme weather conditions. Please phone the centre on the day to confirm it is going ahead.
