Introduction To Windsurfing

Master the art of windsurfing with this fantastic beginners course. With a qualified instructor on hand to help learn the basic skills to steering the board across the water.

Take part in this fantastic windsurfing lesson and learn the essential skills to a new sport! With expert guidance throughout master the basic techniques to manoeuvring across the water and leave with a full understanding of the equipment functions. This incredibly rewarding sport brings in the basic principles of surfing and sailing, whilst helping you to improve your core balance and confidence within the water.

The windsurfing taster session will begin with a full safety briefing as you get kitted out in the necessary gear. Your qualified instructor will demonstrate the basic principles to windsurfing with a dry-land simulator, giving you plenty of time to practice before jumping in the water to have a go. Climb aboard and discover the art of control, listen to the experts helpful hints and tips throughout and steer your board around the water and finish with a clear understanding of how the equipment works. Your experience will draw to a close with a de-brief back at the centre, including a discussion of the techniques learnt throughout your course.

Minimum Age: 9
Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please let the centre know if you are not confident within the water.
If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please check with the centre when booking.

This experience lasts approximately 2 hours.

This experience is great for both individuals and groups alike.
Spectators welcome. Please Note: This is a mixed adult and junior course.

The experience is available on selected dates throughout the year, normally weekend availability.

Please bring a swimsuit, towel, sun cream and a warm change of clothes to the centre.
All specialised equipment will be provided by the centre.

This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please contact the centre on the day to make sure it is going ahead.
