Half Day Yacht Cruise

Fantastic Yacht Experience suitable for both novice and experienced sailors, do as little or as much sailing as you wish, enjoy the beautiful coastlines on this wonderful experience.

On this half day sailing experience in Dorset you will get to spend an action packed four hours learning as much or as little as you like about the art of sailing. You may choose to get involved with all aspects of sailing the 32ft clipper from the expert crew, or if you prefer you may just sit back an relax and watch the coastline drift past with only the sound of the rigging to break the peace and quiet. Along the way you will sail past some of the South's most famous landmarks including the Needles and Hurst Castle along the coast of Dorset, The Solent and the Isle of Wight.

Bournemouth

Your Dorset sailing experience will begin with a warm welcome on board the beautifully looked after 32ft clipper moored in the Christchurch Harbour. After a short talk from the skipper about safety and being fitter with your life jacket, the boat will move away from the jetty and set a course for the open water. You will be able to help the skipper with raising and lowering the sails and steering the yacht etc. You will be able to get involved as much or as little as you like so if you wish just sit back and enjoy the view. On board there will be light refreshments you can enjoy throughout the 4 hour cruise.

The duration of this experience is circa four hours.

There will be a maximum of eight people including the skipper on board.

Available from March to November

Life jackets are provided and waterproofs are available for hire at small additional charges. You should wear comfortable clothing that won't hinder you moving around the boat and clean soft-soled deck shoes or trainers with white or non-marking soles, to change into at the yacht. Gloves, hat, scarf, warm layers of clothing if it is cold and sunglasses & sun lotion if it is hot. Packed lunch if required. (Tea/coffee is provided on-board)

If you are prone to sea-sickness or travel sickness, we recommend travel pills called 'Sturgeron' that should be taken 2 hours before sailing

Sailing courses can be weather dependant and in extreme circumstances the course may be affected. Please check with the centre prior to arrival.
